What was your favorite part or moment of your wedding day?
Matthew: Seeing Lindsay come down the aisle and seeing so many friends and family members at the reception.
Lindsay: My favorite part of the wedding day was the ceremony because I couldn't wait to see Matthew but also because Matthew's father is a pastor and married us, so I thought that was really special and meaningful. I also liked that he was able to talk about our grandparents and Matthew's sister. It was important for them to be included in our wedding day even if they were not physically there.
What are you looking forward to about your future together?
Matthew: Building a home and family together.
Lindsay: Matthew and I have been together for five years, but after the first year together he moved to Indianapolis, while I stayed in Fort Wayne. The last four years have been long distance and so I am excited to finally be able to spend everyday waking up next to Matthew. I am also excited to finally start making Indianapolis feel more like home now that I live here and begin making new memories with Matthew and our perfect labradoodle Wanda.
If you could give one piece of advice to a future bride or groom, what would it be?
Matthew: Keep a big picture view and don't stress about the details.
Lindsay: The advice I would give is to enjoy every minute of the journey that includes all of the craziness that comes with the planning and wedding itself. I can't tell you how many times someone said "enjoy the day, it will fly by." And it did. So enjoy the entire day, take it all in and soak it all up, because it will fly by in a second.
Are there any specific photos you can't wait to see?
Matthew: I'm excited to see photos of the reception. Things that I probably missed because I was otherwise occupied.
Lindsay: I'm excited to see the ones of Matthew and I in the elevator, at JK O'Donnell's where we met, and at the ceremony, but I am also excited to see the one's with my family. We haven't had any family pictures taken in so long so I am excited to see how those turned out!
What did you enjoy most about having Kirsten Wray Photography as your wedding photographer?
We both agree that Kirsten and her team are nothing short of amazing! Kirsten has such a positive, bubbly attitude and the ability to keep everyone on schedule throughout the craziness of the wedding day. So many friends and family members have contacted us just to say how awesome they thought our photographer was! One thing we really enjoyed about Kirsten is her ability to adapt and work with anyone. Lindsay has a brother who is severely autistic, and Kirsten treated him with dignity and respect and was even able to get him to smile by making silly faces and noises. She is hands down the best photographer we have ever met and would highly recommend her and her team to anyone.
