What was your favorite part or moment of your wedding day?

Ashe's favorite part of the day was the recessional after the completion of the ceremony, when we walked down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Abebe. My favorite part of the wedding day was definitely the first-look. My bridesmaids and myself had been at the venue since 9 AM on the day of the wedding, setting up the reception decor and then getting hair and makeup done on site on the bridal suite. While getting ready, I was super excited about getting to do the first-look.  I was so glad we decided to do a first-look, with just him and me. Being able to share that moment together before the ceremony was super special, I loved seeing the expression on Ashe's face when he turned around. The first-look also freed us up after the ceremony to be able to mingle with guests during the cocktail hour, instead of having to take pictures with the bridal party immediately following the ceremony.

What are you looking forward to about your future together?

We have been house hunting since November 2016, so in the immediate future we are most excited about finding a house where we can get settled and start "nesting" to make a house our home, together. We also didn't take a honeymoon immediately after our wedding, which for us, was the best decision, the whole wedding planning process can be stressful and we took the next couple days after our wedding to just be together without having to worry about packing for a trip, air travel, etc. We did, however, book our honeymoon for September 2017 and now we have that to look forward to in just a few short months. We are most looking forward to starting a family together. Both of us are ready to have kids and can't wait to start that next, exciting phase of our lives!

If you could give one piece of advice to a future bride or groom, what would it be?

Start the planning process early, don't leave stuff until the last minute. And Just enjoy the day, because it goes so fast! Find a venue that has a day of wedding coordinator, she will definitely help make the day of arrangements go smoothly! Also, if you're trying to stick to a budget, figure out what is most important to you as a couple, whether it be great food, great pictures that will last a lifetime, or drop dead gorgeous gown, then pick those vendors first. Then everything else can be worked into the budget.

Are there any specific photos you can't wait to see?

It rained, what seemed like, the entire week leading up to our wedding, with a forecast of 80-100% chance of rain on our wedding day. It rained the entire morning and our pictures were scheduled to start at 2 PM, by about 1 PM it started to clear up outside. We were just so thrilled that we were able to get ALL our pictures outdoors without a drop a rain. We are most excited to see first-look photos and ceremony photos. We can't wait to see the expressions on each other's faces during the first look. And because, as the bride I didn't get to see the processional during the ceremony I am excited to see ceremony processional pictures.

What did you enjoy most about having Kirsten Wray Photography as your wedding photographer?

Kirsten was amazing to work with! She kept us on schedule and was sure to get in all the shots she wanted and that were important to us. She has a great sense of humor and a take-charge personality with is imperative when getting lots of people organized for group shots! She knew the shots to get and made sure we were happy with everything along the way!
